Overall fishing has been very slow on the Upper Rogue for winter steelhead. We have had a few decent days, but for the most part we’ve had to scratch out 1 or 2 fish a day. This is mostly due to a disease outbreak at the hatchery that killed half the smolts that would be returning this year. As a result of the slow fishing we will now be switching over to spring salmon (springers) the last half of the month. The first few have been caught on the Upper Rogue, and more will be showing up everyday. I am running a special for springer warm up trips that you can find on the Specials Page.
